Thank You! Thanks to all the parents who were able to make it to Parent/Teacher conferences. It was great to see all of you and talk to you about your amazing children.
Last Week
We talked about spiders last week and learned that they are not insects, but arachnids. We also learned they are really good for our gardens because they eat the bugs that like to hurt our plants.
LAPSK Board/Parent Meet-and-Greet
On Thursday, November 13, from 9-10am, parents will have the opportunity to come meet our board members and voice their thoughts in a constructive, respectful, and supportive way. The meeting will take place in the Conrad room. There will be a second Meet-and-Greet in January in the evening for anyone who cannot attend November's meeting.
Date Change - Please Note! The date for our Family Fun Night has changed from Thursday, November 20, to FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 21 from 5:30 - 7:00. It's our Holiday Make-and-Take night.
Canned Food Drive We are starting our church-partnered canned food drive. We will be collecting food through December 19 for those in our community in need. The church will build baskets for both Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Winter Concert
We are going to start practicing our songs for the Winter concert which will be held on Tuesday, December 9. We are looking for a pianist for both concerts - Monday, December 8 and Tuesday, December 9. If you or someone you know are willing and able to volunteer to accompany our Little Acorn concerts, please let Katie know. Thanks!
Illness
Please let us know if your child is sick and will not be coming to school that day. You can call the office at 360-693-5614 and talk to Katie or leave a message, or you can call/text Teacher Jaylene at 360-624-3673.
Word Wall - Letter F We will be learning the letter F this week. Your child may bring in anything beginning with F. We have a basket in the classroom to keep things safe until we share them at closing circle. Your child is welcome to bring something any day they attend class.
