Butterfly Class News
Week of November 17 - 21

Family Fun Night
This Friday, November 21, from 5:30-7:00 is our Holiday Make-and-Take Family Fun Night. Come make some holiday crafts with your kids, chat with the teachers, take photos in the photo booth and have fun with your school friends! We would love to see you there!

Last Week
Thank you to all of our families for being so flexible with the weather! We still had a great week in the Butterfly class, and had fun making bats and owls, learning how they are different than us, and singing our winter concert songs. The kids are learning the songs so quickly. Are you hearing them sing any of them at home? Also, make sure to check out the owl projects hanging in the hallway across from the classroom. They turned out great!

Winter Concert
Make sure to mark your calendars for the Winter concert which will be held on Tuesday, December 9. We are looking for a pianist for both concerts - Monday, December 8 and Tuesday, December 9. If you or someone you know are willing and able to volunteer to accompany our Little Acorn concerts, please let Katie know. Thanks!

Sign up for Remind!
Remind.com is great way for us to keep you all posted on weather related closures, send out field trip reminders, etc. Our Little Acorn Remind.com School code is: 307-459-3175 Class code: lapsk20. We also have a Butterfly class list set-up. I will send that info in the next newsletter, or check out the sheet posted outside the classroom.

Canned Food Drive
We are currently collecting food in conjunction with the church to provide baskets for those in our community in need. Thank you to those who have already donated. Our box outside the classroom is almost full. We will empty it, pass it along to the church who is assembling the baskets, and continue to collect food through December 19.

Bake Sale
Our holiday bake sale will be November 24th & 25th during school hours. Every year there is always something delicious that catches my eye! Feel free to donate some yummy goodies for the sale, as well as buy some fun treats for your family. If you want to volunteer to help run the sale, talk to Teacher Katie in the office.

Breakfast will be $3.00 for kids and $5.00 for adults. We will need help making and serving breakfast, with set-up, and clean-up. We will also be working on the letter G, continuing to practice writing our numbers, as well as singing our concert songs. We will also be catching any of the kids up on their portfolio projects from last week, since it wasn't quite the week we all expected with the weather! I can't believe how fast the year is flying. Here's to a fantastic week!
