The concert was amazing! Thank you for attending and bringing your kids so they could show you how hard they had been working on learning their songs. It was wonderful to see all of you. And a HUGE THANK YOU to Rob Melton (one of our Butterfly parents) for playing both nights. We really appreciate you!

This is our last week before break! Wow, time is flying by so fast. This week, we are going to be making Holiday Forests on Thursday and Friday (the 18th and 19th). We will be making them as the kids arrive, so if you would like to stay and create your child's forest with them, we would love it! Check out the sign-up sheet outside the classroom for supplies for the forests. We will also be having story and movie time with the other classrooms those days. Tree and candy cane projects are on the lesson plan for this week, as well reading some fun and silly holiday stories. We will be talking about our 2 weeks off, and what they are looking forward to this holiday season. We hope you all have a wonderful, safe, and restful break!

LAPSK PARENT/BOARD Meet-and-Greet Mark your calendars for January 6th, from 6:30 - 7:30pm, for our Little Acorn Parent/Board Meet-and-Greet. If you are planning on attending, please RSVP in the office by Monday, January 5th. It's a great opportunity to meet our board members, get to know each other, and build a stronger school community. Word Wall - Letter J This week we will be learning about the letter J for joy, jingle, and jump. Your child may bring in something that starts with J for sharing. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Winter Concert It's finally here! Our concert will be held on Tuesday, Dec 9, at 6pm. Please drop your children off at the classroom at 5:45, after taking them to the restroom.  Then head on up to the sanctuary to get a spot to watch your kiddos. We have been working hard on our songs, and the kids are so excited to sing them for you. Can't wait to see you there!   Important Dates: Dec. 8 - 12 - Book fair Dec. 9 - Winter concert Dec. 17 - Kindred Dec. 18, 19 - Class parties Dec. 22 - Jan. 2 - Winter break Thanks to everyone who attended the Santa breakfast on Saturday. It was so much fun to see the kids excitement over the books Santa gave them. Thank you to everyone that helped make the morning run smoothly. What an awesome group of families we have this year. We hope you all had as much fun as we did! This week Reindeer, stars, and ornaments are on the agenda this week. We have a lot of fun art projects planned, as well as plenty of time for excercise. The kids are so excited about the holidays, and we need time to get those wiggles out! Traditions Please let us know if you have any family traditions you would like to share with our class sometime in the next two weeks. It could be anything - a story you always read, an art project, a cooking project, etc. Just talk to us about planning a time to come into the classroom.
