Butterfly Class Newsletter February 2 - 6, 2015

Last Week
The kids had so much fun last week playing in the bear cave we built in our classroom, watching Bear Snores On and Little Bear, eating a special snack, and making bears, which are hanging in our classroom. Come in and see them sometime this week!
This Week
We are moving on to Nocturnal Animals and Night and Day. We will be talking about who and what sleeps during the day and night, different things we do at those times, as well as talking specifically about raccoons, owls, and bats. If your child has a flashlight they would like to bring in to leave in their cubby for the week, we will be doing some fun activities in the dark (or as dark as we can get it in the classroom!).

Word Wall - Letter O
This week we will be focusing on the letter O for owl, ouch, and oval. Please help your child find something that begins with the letter O if they would like to bring in something for sharing. Thanks!

Upcoming Events
Mark your calendars for our pancake breakfast and art show on March 21st. We also are having our school auction at Big Al's on April 18. More info on both events to follow in upcoming newsletters.
